Meet Dang Tran, the man who invented Gravity Chopsticks (Instagram: @gravitychopsticks). I was honoured to sit down with him for a chat and see the product! Thanks for your time! Click here to read about how he came up with the idea.
Please see the next photo for a closer shot of the product. (I offered him rice crackers and japanese snacks)
Look at the elevated chopsticks, you don’t need to worry about where to rest it. It is made of food safe wood with an aluminum end in colours maple or walnut. How did Dang come up with the idea?
“I was eating at a Thai restaurant with my wife. We were in between dishes. The server took away our appetizer dish and my wife didn’t have anywhere to place her chopsticks down. That was when the idea hit me. I sketched it on a piece of napkin and when I got home I built some prototypes and printed it on my 3D printer. I had some metal handles made from a local machine shop and assembled my first working prototype. That was when my idea came to life.”
