We are so lucky to live in Vancouver. I was born and raised here and the city has changed a lot. One thing that hasn’t changed is the green space. The city is constantly keeping the communities green. We have a lot of places for the kids to play outside. There are plenty of playgrounds in every neighbourhood. I am never breathing in car exhaust or cigarette smoke like in some of the other cities we have visited where a playground is in the middle of traffic and people are allowed to smoke. We care about our health and our city and the environment our kids grow up in. We recycle everything and have bins for anything you can think of. We even have a separate box for food waste. I can’t think of a city I have visited that does this much. The photo was taken at Douglas Park Community Center.
