Recently, I went to O5 tea for a Mochi making class with Noriko Aramaki. Her method teaches you to make Mochi using the microwave. We were given the recipe and a demonstration. Then we had a chance to make Mochi and fill it with red bean paste. It was much harder than I thought. The Mochi was really sticky and it took some skills to stretch it and wrap it around the red bean paste. I tried my best and mine didn’t look very round. I guess not all foodies can cook well. I am good at eating Mochi but not making it.
