David Lam Park, Vancouver

I have been asked many times by parents to make a list of places I take my kid. I have started covering parks and playgrounds around Vancouver. Keep checking this section of my posts since I can’t think of a park we haven’t visited. I am slowly trying to get all that up. David Lam Park is number one on our list. Roundhouse community center is around the corner. The Canada line is down the block. It is conveniently located by Yaletown at 1300 Pacific Boulevard. It is walking distance to the seawall and you can enjoy the beautiful views of Vancouver. It is close to many restaurants and shops. There is a soccer field, basketball court, tennis court, and a playground. There is a huge field to fly your kite on a windy day or play soccer. It is also a place for many celebrations and events in the city. This is one of our favourite parks and playgrounds.

I hope you will visit if you haven’t been. Even if you don’t have kids, this can be your starting point for a stroll along the seawall or a bike ride around False Creek. I took photos of people resting after a bike ride and practicing boxing. It is usually very busy but I waited for the right moment. We often bring our snacks and have a picnic by the seawall. I will feature an interesting structure by the seawall in another post. Stay tuned.
