The Museum at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York

I went to an exhibit at the Museum of FIT called The Women of Harper’s Bazaar, 1936-1958 which focused on editor-in-chief Carmel Snow, fashion editor Diana Vreeland, and photographer Louise Dahl-Wolfe.

Here are a few photos of the garments and photographs donated by Louise. I hope you had a chance to see the exhibit if you were in New York. It was in one of the 3 galleries of the museum.

Did you know that the admission is free? The museum’s mission is to advance the knowledge of fashion through educational and entertaining exhibits. It is really a place you cannot miss, my opinion. Their exhibitions change throughout the year and I will definitely visit the next time we are in New York.
