Phuket, Thailand

3 things come to mind when you ask me about the best experiences in Phuket: good food, beautiful beaches, and spas.  The people in Phuket are very friendly and it is a fairly safe city to visit. I took the tuk tuk everywhere. I also hired a car one of the nights to get to a show called Fantasea at Kamala Beach. We all have different budgets and expectations for hotels but I really liked staying at the Movenpick Resort and Spa because of the location on Karon Beach. It is less crowded and it felt more like a vacation. I read Phuket has more than 30 beaches! Good luck with finding the beach that suits you. The hotel is 45 minutes from the airport. Don’t get confused with the Movenpick at Bangtao Beach. That is a different location!

Some of the attractions I recommend are Fantasea, beach hopping, Old Phuket Town, Patong’s Bangla Road, Simon’s Caberet Show, and Wat Chalong, Phi Phi Island and watch Muay Thai.

The hotel leads right up to the Karon beach.

Some of the food we ate. My all time favourite Thai noodle salad is yum woon sen. I have to order that at every Thai restaurant I go to.

Sounds like your experience was a lot better than mine, haha. Beach looks beautiful!

    1. Did you stay there too? What happened?! Haha

I stayed in Patong Beach, which was a bit too extreme for my taste. The beach you stayed at looked a lot nicer and less crazy haha.

      2. Yes, I remember the beach was packed! That is why I recommend this beach! And just go visit the other beach instead. You have a good tip for our readers then. Avoid staying at Patong beach if you want a vacation!
